YBH Cooking up Hot Chili & Hot Promotions:
City of Palo Alto 22nd Annual Summer Festival & Chili Cook-Off 2003

Independence Day was hot! Clear blue sky, sunshine, live reggae music and delicious spicy scents. The ambience was perfect for the friendly competition of local chefs vying for awards and prizes for the peninsula’s best chili. YBH entered the cook-off with Christy’s special con carne chili recipe. Three chili chefs chopped sautéed and stirred over 15 gallons of chili while the YBH crew met the community and staffed the table filled with information and promotions.

The crowd was eager to taste, chat and grab company give-aways such as a commemorative custom cook-off t-shirt, frisbees for the kids (and dogs) as well as plenty of mints. After a wonderful day of sun and fun, YBH poured out the final tasting samples, cheered on the winners of the day’s events and looked forward to next year’s competition.
